Date with CAT and other B-School Entrance Tests
This booklet is your IMS student handbook that will guide you through your preparation for CAT and other B-School entrance tests. The booklet details the various elements of the IMS courseware along with the availability schedule of the corresponding programme components. This booklet also helps you track your application and test deadlines and monitor your progress across simulated tests.
Theoretica
The Theoretica booklets are the core booklets that will help you build the requisite conceptual clarity to tackle the top management admission tests in the country. Each of the twelve booklets deals with one of the 12 areas mentioned earlier. Concepts are explained in a lucid manner with the help of solved examples, and each theory section ends with a concept builder test to help you assess your learning. Every chapter ends with at least 2 to 3 exercises that give you sufficient practice at different levels of difficulty. The number of questions in each exercise is proportional to the weightage of that particular chapter across tests. The titles of each of the books are as follows:
ADMAT is an acronym for Additional Management Admission Tests. Test takers usually take tests other than the CAT. While the concepts tested more or less remain the same, the question types used to do so differ across tests. The 2 ADMAT booklets have Section Tests corresponding to each of the three sections as they appear on XAT, IIFT, SNAP, NMAT, IRMA, TISS, ATMA and MAT. These tests will familiarise you with each of the tests with respect to concepts tested, question types used and number of questions. So, while speed might not be a skill you need to work on if you are focused solely on the CAT, taking the SNAP, which has more than 2 times as many questions as the CAT, would mean that you need to work on your speed right from the initial stages of your preparation.
