CGPSC State Service Mains Syllabus

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission is fully responsible for conducting the State Service Mains Written Exam for the candidates who are declared qualify in the Preliminary Exam. Ignorance about exact mark exam pattern & syllabus leads to lapse in preparation. For CGPSC State Service aspirants we are Providing latest exam pattern & syllabus for State Service Mains Exam.

Mains Exam Pattern:- The Main Examination shall consist of the following papers and each paper shall be of Three hours time duration and Interview will be of 150 Marks. MainExamination will be conventional essay type.

Paper	Subject	Marks
Paper – I	Language	200 Marks
Paper – II	Essay ( Candidates should write two Essays one from each section compulsorily)	200 Marks
Paper – III	History, Constitution and Public Administration	200 Marks
Paper – IV	Science, Technology and Environment	200 Marks
Paper – V	Economics & Geography	200 Marks
Paper – VI	Mathematics & Logical Ability	200 Marks
Paper – VII	Philosophy & Sociology	200 Marks

• Question papers for Main Examination will be of Conventional nature i.e. : Short/Medium/Long answers Type.
• All the question papers except first -”Language” may be answered in Hindi or English chosen by the candidates.

Exam Syllabus:- Syllabus for the State Service Mains Written Exam will be as follows:-

Language:- In this Paper Questions will be asked from following Sections:-

• General Hindi
• General Sanskrit
• General English
• Chhattisgarhi Language

Essay:-  Candidates will have to write two essays on problems (Reason, present status including data and solution) from each part. Three problems will be given in each part; candidate will have to write essay on each part about 1500 words. Each part will carry 100 marks.

• Part – 01: Problems Of National Level
• Part – 02: Problems Relating To The State Of Chhattisgarh

History, Constitution and Public Administration:- Questions in this Paper will be ask from the following Sections:-

• History of India
• Indian National Movement
• History of Chhattisgarh & Contribution of Chhattisgarh in National Movement
• Constitution of India
• Public Administration

Science, Technology & Environment:- Questions in this Paper will be ask from the following Sections:-

• Chemistry
• Physics
• Biology
• Technology
• Environment

Economics & Geography:- Questions in this Paper will be ask from the following Sections:-

• Indian Economics
• Planning in India
• Geography of Chhattisgarh
• Economics of Chhattisgarh
• Agriculture, Forest, Industry and Natural Resource Of Chhattisgarh

Mathematics & Logical Ability:- Questions in this Paper will be ask from the following Sections:-

• Rational Numbers
• Coordinate Geometry
• Computer
• Data Analysis
• Logical Reasoning

Philosophy and Sociology:- Questions in this Paper will be ask from the following Sections:-

• Indian Philosophy & Yoga
