APTET: Andra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test known as APTET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act.

Age Limit: No person shall be eligible for direct recruitment to the post of Teacher if he is less than 18 years of age and more than 40 years of age as on 1st day of July of the year 2014 in which the notification for selection to the relevant post, category or class or a service is made.

Eligibility Criteria: A candidate for selection to the posts of Teachers shall possess the academic and professional/ training qualifications as follows:-

►Must be fully qualified for the post applied for and in possession of all Certificates as on the last date prescribed in the notification for submission of applications.

► Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or other equivalent certificates recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

► Must possess Academic degrees of Universities recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC).

► Teacher Education Courses recognized by National Council for Teacher Education.

Pattern Of Examination: The Structure and Content of proposed Integrated Test for SGTs and School Assistants are as follows:

General Knowledge and Current Affairs	10 MCQ	10 Marks
Child Development and Pedagogy	30 MCQ	30 Marks
Language I (Opted by the candidate)	35 MCQ	35 MCQ
Language II (English) (Content & Methodology)	35 MCQ	35 MCQ
Mathematics (Content & Methodology)	30 MCQs	30 Marks
Environmental Studies (Content & Methodology)	40 MCQs	40 Marks
Total	180 MCQs	18 Marks

Application Fee: The applicants have to pay a fee of Rs. 250/- towards application processing and conduct of Recruitment Test (for each post separately) through APONLINE or e-seva centers.
