It is for the general information of all the candidates that the first indicative seat allotment list has been published. Candidates can see their allotment status by login through their personal LOGIN ACCOUNT created by them at the time of their CLAT Registration.

On uploading of the question papers with answer keys on the CLAT website, representations have been received from some candidates wherein they have questioned accuracy of answers of certain questions. Taking into cognizance these representations, an expert committee has been constituted to look into the matter. Publication of the proposed first indicative allotment list is, therefore, withheld till a final view is taken on these representations. Candidates shall be informed about the next date of publication of first indicative allotment list in due course. Convener, Implementation Committee CLAT – 16

KNOW CLAT: The CLAT is an all India entrance examination conducted on rotation by National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programs (LL.B and LL.M). CLAT exam is conducted for Integrated Degree Course like BA-LLB, B.Com-LLB, B.Sc-LLB & Other Approved Coursed by Bar Council of India.

NOTE: The specified number of the candidates from various categories will be allowed to participate in the online counseling against the actual seats available with the participating NLU(s), by logging in to the personal LOGIN ACCOUNT created by them at the time of registration and depositing the adjustable fees of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) either online/offline by bank challan through the website. The candidates failing to deposit the required fees by the specified date will forfeit their right to be considered for admission in CLAT – 2016 and their names will be dropped from the CLAT – 2016 Merit List.

► The merit-cum-preference will be the basic principle of admission for CLAT 2015 and the allotment of candidates to various NLU(s) will be based on the same, wherein the candidates will be able to mark the preferences of the NLU(s) for admission within the stipulated period mentioned in the schedule, failing which their right to be considered for admission shall be forfeited.
