LATEST UPDATE dated 14.10.2016 :- Online Application for Karnataka TET 2016 has been Started NOW. Apply Online for KARTET 2016 from the link given below………
This year the application for KARTET-2016 has been made completely On-Line with the facility to upload photograph and signature of the applicant. The particulars will be filled online and the scanned images of photograph and signature (in JPG format only) will be uploaded at the time of filling the application form. The candidates are advised to keep the scanned images of photograph and signature of the candidates ready in JPG format before applying On-Line.

Eligibility : The following persons are eligible for appearing in the KARTET.
1. Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage- Paper I :
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2. Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI- VIII:Elementary Stage Paper II :
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
OR
B.A / B.Sc Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).ORPUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education(B.El.Ed).
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A /B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed.

QUALIFYING MARKS AND AWARD OF KARTET CERTIFICATE :-
The candidates appearing in KARTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.
(a) The candidates belonging to SC / ST / C-I, differently abled persons should secure a minimum of 55% will be eligible etc., in accordance with their extent reservation policy.
(b) Qualifying the KARTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment / employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
