CIDCO Maharashtra Syllabus 2015
City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) is going to conduct a written examination (Online Test) and then a Proficiency Test (Physical) for the recruitment to the post of Fireman and driver Operator. As the eligible qualification for these posts was SSC and Fireman Training Course, so exam will be based on standard of SSC & fireman course level. But the competition level is now increased. Candidates who applied against these posts must have to prepare for their exam very wisely. Here we are giving the idea of exam pattern and syllabus of Fireman & driver Operator Exam which can help you to be prepared yourself for test.
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Fireman & Driver Operator Online Test is as Follows:-
► The written exam (online) will be multiple choice objective type.
► There will be no negative marking.
► The time duration of test will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► The version for online test should be English & Marathi.
► Level of competency is SSC.
► There will be a Proficiency Test of 80 marks after written exam.
► The Candidates should score at least 45% marks in online test to qualify for Proficiency Test.
► Final Merit list will be out of 200 marks (Online exam 120 marks + Proficiency test 80 marks).
► There will be no negative marking.

► The version for online test should be English & Marathi.

► There will be a Proficiency Test of 80 marks after written exam.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Fireman & Driver Operator Online Exam is given below :-
English/ Marathi : Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.
Reasoning : The questions will be of 10th Standard and would include both verbal and nonverbal type. The test may include questions on analogues, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination observation, relationship concept, figure classification, arithmetical number series, verbal and non-verbal series and mathematics of 10th standard. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, mathematical computation and other analytical functions.
General Knowledge (G.K) : The questions will be 10th standard. Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of a 10th standard educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution and Scientific Research, etc. These questions will be such that, they do not require a special study of any discipline.
General Awareness on Fire Fighting : The test will include questions on knowledge of Fire fighting, operational use of Fire fighting Equipments, life saving drills, causes of fire, etc.
