High Court of Delhi is going conduct a Delhi Judicial Service Examination-2015. Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. Candidatesfacing critical problem of “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” to give their best in their exams. So, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Judicial Service Exam conducting by Delhi High Court.

Preliminary Examination

Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the Judicial Service Pre Exam is as Follows:-

► Written Exam will be multiple choice objective type.
► The maximum marks for Preliminary Examination shall be 200.
► There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answers.
► Minimum qualifying marks shall be 60% for General and 55% for Reserved Categories i.e. SC, ST and Physically Handicapped (Blind/Low Vision) (Mobility not to be restricted)/ Orthopedically.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Judicial Service Pre is given below :-

In the Preliminary Examination, questions on general knowledge and aptitude of the candidate, candidate’s power of expression, flair in English, knowledge of objective type legal problems and their solutions covering Constitution of India, Code of Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code, Contract Act, Partnership Act, Principles Governing Arbitration Law, Evidence Act, Specific Relief Act and Limitation Act will be included.

Main (Written) Examination

Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the Judicial Service Main Examination is as Follows:-

► Written Exam will be descriptive (subjective) type.
► The Main Examination shall consist of following subjects:

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Judicial Service Main Exam is given below :-

General Knowledge and Language : This paper shall comprise of two sections.

Section-I General Knowledge : This is to test the candidate’s knowledge of current affairs etc.

Section-II Language (Essay, Translation and Précis Writing) : This is to test the candidate’s knowledge and power of expression in English. Credit will be given both for substance and expression. Conversely, deduction will be made for bad expression, faults of grammar and misuse of words etc. There will be two passages for translation,  one in English which will be required  to be  translated into Hindi (in Devnagri Script). The Second passage in Hindi (in Devnagri Script) shall be required to be translated into English.

Civil Law-I : Indian Contract Act, Indian Sale of Goods Act, Indian Partnership Act, Specific Relief Act, Hindu Law, Mohammaden Law, Delhi Rent Control Act and Law of Torts.

Civil Law-II : Civil Procedure Code, Law of Evidence, Law of Limitation & Law of Registration.

Criminal Law : Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code & Indian Evidence Act.
