Marks of 12th/ Intermediate will not add in the JEE Main 2017. So 12th Marks will not play any Role in Ranking of JEE Mains 2017. But Condition remain same of Criteria of 75% in 12th for General/ OBC Candidates & 65% for SC/ ST Candidates.
Online Application for JEE Mains 2017 has been started from 01 December, 2016. The States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha & some other institutions have joined JEE (Main) system. The last date for application is 02nd January, 2017 and fee can be paid up to 03rd January 2017.
For Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Entry Course commence from January, 2018. Selection will be based JEE Mains Rank. So candidates should apply for JEE Mains-2017 which will be started from December, 2016.
Now 75% Marks is compulsory in 12th to take admission in NIT & IIIT Institutes. These changes are made by Central Seat Allocation Board. SC/ ST candidates have to attain 65% Marks. Notification for JEE Mains will be out in December, 2016.

JEE Mains 2017 Exam will be conducted on 2nd April, 2016. Result for JEE Mains 2017 will also announced on 27 April, 2016. Good News for JEE Aspirants, Government has made some changes in JEE Mains 2017. New Guidelines are issued. Under these Guidelines :-
- There will be No Importance of 12th Marks in Deciding Rank of JEE Mains. So Candidates don’t need to worry about their 12th Marks, as they will not be added.
- To Get Admission in IIT, NIT, IIIT or other CFTI through JEE Mains Rank, Student must have Minimum 75% Marks (Gen/ OBC) or Candidates have to get 20 Highest Percentile. Minimum Marks for SC/ ST Candidate is 65%.
JEE (Main) 2017:- In Compliance to Notification from Ministry of Human Resource & Development, 5th Combined Entrance Exam (Main) 2015 will be conducted by JEE Main Board to take Admission in Under Graduate Engineering Programme in NITs, IIITs & other Central Aided Technical Institutes.
To take Admission in IIITs, NITs, Central Aided NIT Central Law established Institutes Merit List/ Rank will be Prepared which will be based on weightage of Marks in Class 12 or Equivalent (40%) & JEE Main Exam (60%). Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Nagaland, Odisha states are also concluded in JEE Mains Exam System. Students from these States are also advised to fill the form of JEE (Mains).
JEE (Main) is a Eligibility Test for JEE (Advance). so JEE (Mains) is also for those Candidates who are interested in take part in Under Graduate Programmes of IITs & ISM Dhanbad.
Eligibility Conditions:-
Age Limit:- General/OBC category candidates will be born on or before 01 October, 1992& SC/ST/PWD Candidates will be born on or before 01 October, 1987.
Educational Qualification:- Candidates who had passed 12th or any other equivalent Exam in 2015 & 2016 OR Candidates who is going to appear in 12th/ Equivalent exam in the year 2017 is also eligible to take part in the JEE Main Exam.
