AIIMS MBBS 2017 : All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Every Year Conducts Entrance Exam to take Admission in MBBS Course in the Medical Giant AIIMS. AIIMS Every Year conducts this exam in the month of June. As Seats are less in AIIMS, so competition is high for this exam.
About AIIMS: All India Institute of Medical Sciences was established by an Act of Parliament of 1956 as an autonomous institution of national importance and its objectives and functions were defined. By virtue of this Act, the Institute awards its own medical degrees, diplomas and other academic distinctions. There are total 7 AIIMS running in India.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit : Candidates should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission (2017). Candidates born on or after 2nd January, 2000 are NOT eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification : Candidate should have passed the 12thClass under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Examination of a recognized University/ Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY as subject.
• Candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject and expect to pass the Examination with required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination. However, their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying Examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks.
• Candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subject and expect to pass the Examination with required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination. Minimum Marks : The minimum aggregate of the marks in ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY obtained in the qualifying examination (as in the Essential Qualification required for appearing in this examination are :
- General and OBC candidates: 60%
- SC/ST/OPH Candidates: 50%
Application & Registration Fee
General & OBC (Creamy Layer/ Non Creamy Layer) Candidates have to pay Application Fee Rs. 1000/- (along with Transaction Fee) while SC/ ST Candidates have to submit Application Fee Rs. 800/- (along with Transaction Fee). OPH Candidates are exempted from Application Fee. Requisite fess may be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Challan Form payable at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI).
How to Apply
A candidate seeking admission to the Entrance Examination is required to apply online for Registration in the prescribed form available at www.aiimsexams.org. A candidate seeking admission to the Entrance Examination is required to fill up the Registration Form available online with the Prospectus on website. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that correct address in the Application Form is filled. The Institute will not be responsible for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the applicant in the Application Form. Online Registration will Start in the month of January, 2017.
