About GITAM: Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) (a deemed to be university of the UGC Act, 1956) known as GITAM University is an educational institution in India. It was previously known as GITAM College, affiliated to Andhra University. Established in 1980, it was conferred the status of deemed university in 2007.

About GAT: GITAM Admission Test (GAT-2016) is a computer based online test conducted for admission to Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy programs for the academic year 2016-17 for its Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bengaluru Campuses.

Eligibility Criteria:

B.Tech and B.Arch & B.Pharmacy Programs	Pass in Intermediate or 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks for B.Arch./B.Pharm.) in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2015 or 2014 and Rank obtained in GAT(UGTP)-2015.
M.Tech. Programs	Pass in the Qualifying Examination from recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and score obtained in GAT (PGT) 2015.
M.Pharmacy Programs	Pass in B.Pharmacy from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and Score obtained in GAT (PGP) – 2015.

Application Fee : Demand Draft for Rs 1,000/- (Rs 600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach Director-Admissions, GITAM UNIVERSITY, Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam – 530 045, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA on or before 02nd April, 2016.Applications can also be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs 150/- drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank. Request for application by post will be accepted up to 25th March, 2016.

How to Apply : Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for the entrance test. Other mode will not be accepted . Candidates may apply through the website of www.gitam.edu . Before filling the online application candidates may read all the instruction given at the website. Candidates fill the application carefully and correctly before submitting the online application candidates must check the application form and submit the online application after submitting the online application candidates take a print out of online application along with the relevant documents and application should be send at DIRECTOR-ADMISSIONS, GITAM UNIVERSITY, GANDHI NAGAR CAMPUS, RUSHIKONDA, VISAKHAPATNAM–530045, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA before 02nd April, 2016.
