Jharkhand SSC Exam Syllabus 2016

Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) is going to conduct Combined Graduate Standard Competitive Exam-2015 (CGSCE) for recruitment to the posts of Block Supply Officer, Block Welfare officer, Cooperative Dissemination Officer, Secretariat Assistant, Circle Inspector.

Preliminary Written Exam

Exam Pattern :- JSSC Graduate Standard Pre Exam Pattern is as :

► The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
► There will a composite paper of 150 questions.
► Each question will carry 03 marks.
► The duration of test will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► There will also be a negative marking of 01 mark for every wrong answer.

Exam Syllabus :- JSSC Graduate Standard Pre Syllabus will be :

General Studies : Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Jharkhand, India and its neighbouring countries. Current affairs, Scientific achievements, National/International Awards, Indian Languages, Books, Scripts, Capital, Currency, sports and important events. Indian History, Culture, Geography, Environment, Economic aspects, Freedom Movement, major features of Indian Agriculture & Natural Resources and Indian Constitution & Polity, Panchayati Raj, community development and 5 years Plan. General Knowledge of Geographical and Political condition of Jharkhand.

General Science : Questions of General Science will include to test knowledge of matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person who didn’t study science as a subject.

General Mathematics : Arithmetic, elementary algebra geometry, general trigonometry, mensuration. Generally, questions of Matric/10th standard will be include.

Mental Ability Test : It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series.

Basic Knowledge of Computer : The questions related to various devices of Computer, MS Windows operating system, MS Office and knowledge of Internet Operating method.

Knowledge related to Jharkhand State : Geography, History, Civilization, Culture, Language-Literature, Places, Mines and Minerals, Industry, Contribution of Jharkhand in freedom Movement, Development Plans, sports and sportsman, personality, civil achievements, national and international importance etc.

Main Written Exam

Exam Pattern :- JSSC Graduate Standard Mains Exam Pattern will be :

► There will be two objective type papers.
► Both paper will carry 150 questions of 03 marks each.
► The duration for each paper will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► There will also be a negative marking of 01 mark for every wrong answer.

Paper-I

Hindi Knowledge Test(i) Questions based on Hindi Passage – 25 questions
(ii) Questions based on Hindi Grammar – 50 questions

English Knowledge Test(i) Questions based on English Passage – 25 questions
(ii) Questions based on English Grammar – 50 questions

Paper II General Knowledge Test

The syllabus and pattern of this paper will be same as Preliminary Exam. Only standard of difficulty level will be raised a bit.
