University Grants Commission (UGC) has assign to the CBSE, the responsibilities for conducting the UGC NET January, 2017. Central Board Secondary education CBSE, Joint entrance examination, Main unit, published the official Notification for UGC National eligibility NET December examination 2016. The Next UGC NET for Junior Research fellowship JRD and eligibility for assistant professor will be held on 22 January, 2017 the candidates who wan to fill application for the UGC NET January, 2017 Exam are required to fill application form online at the official website cbse net.

Age Limit & Relaxation :

Junior Research Fellowship : Not more than 28 years as on 01.01.2017. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Non-creamy layer) SC/ST/PWD categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority.

Assistant Professor : There is no upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.

Educational Qualification:- Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer / Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Persons with disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.

Application Fee:- For General Candidates Rs. 600/-, For Other Backward Classes OBC (Non-creamy layer) Rs. 300/– & For SC/ST/PWD candidates Rs.150/-. After filling all the details for applying online for NET, the computer will automatically generate your ‘Bank Challan’ indicating your details therein. A print out of this Bank Challan may be taken by the candidate for payment through cash, on the next working day (after generating the challan from www.ugcnetonline.in) at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) along withBank charges (commission) of Rs.40/-

How to Apply:- All interested candidates can fill application form at the official website ofCBSE NET (http://www.cbsenetnic.in/). Online registration process will begin from 17 October, 2016. all candidates are advised to fill application form online only. last date of online application form submission, and online registration 16 November, 2016.
