Ministry of Finance has issued a Notification Regarding Change in present Selection Process for RRB Officer Scale Exam & Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Exam. This is the reason Notification for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I & Office Assistant is delayed. Check Suggested Change in Selection Process below………….
- Selection for Officer Scale I, II, III will be based on 80:20 Ratio (Earlier 70:30). There will be Qualifying Marks for Interview.
- Upper Age Limit for Officer Scale-I is lifted to 30 Years.
- There will be No Interview for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Post.
- IBPS May conduct Two Tier Exam for Officer Scale & Office Assistant Posts like PO, Clerk Exam. So Candidates have to appear for Pre & Mains Exam.
Online CWE for RRBs (RRBs – CWE IV) for recruitment of Group ‘A’ Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group ‘B’ Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in November, 2016.
This system of Common Examination for recruitment of Officers and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) has been approved by the Government of India, notified by NABARD and has the mandate of each of the RRBs. IBPS, an autonomous body registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 and a Public Trust under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, has been authorized to conduct the participating RRBs are as under In Advertisement.

Vacancies for Office Assistant & Officer Scale will be as Follows :
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose) : 8824 Posts
- Officer Scale I : 5539 Posts
- Officer Scale II : 1999 Posts
- Officer Scale III : 198 Posts
A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer under IBPS RRB Recruitment 2016. However a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. for Officer Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale-III.
Age Limit (As on 01.09.2016) :
For Officer Scale- III- Above 21 years – Below 40 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.09.1976 and later than 31.08.1995 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- II– Above 21 years – Below 32 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.09.1984 and later than 31.08.1995 (both dates inclusive)
