Bihar Police has invited Online Applications for 1577 Constable Driver Posts. Most of Candidates are in search of Selection Process, PST/ PET Syllabus, Driving Test Marks Distribution, Method of Preparing Merit List of for Final Selection. Here, in this Article we are providing you the Detailed Selection Process, Merit List Preparation Method for Constable Driver Post.

Selection Process for Direct Recruitment : There will be No Written Exam for Direct Recruitment of Constable Driver Post. After Scrutiny Eligible Candidates will be called up for Physical Standard Test. Successful Candidates in PST/ PET will be called up for Motor Vehicle Driving Test. After Process is as follows :

• Candidates will be awarded Marks based on Performance in Driving Test.
• A Merit List will be prepared based on Marks in Driving Test.
• List of Selected Candidates will be forwarded to Police Superintendent of Districts.

Preparation of Constable Driver Merit List : Merit List will be prepared based on Marks in Driving test & Marks given on Experience to Contract based Drivers in Police Organization. Merit List will be drawn from 50 Marks. If two candidates get Equal Marks then Deciding Factor will be Date of Birth, If two candidates has same Marks & Same Date of Birth. Then candidate with Higher Educational Qualification will be given preference.

It should be noted that Candidates have to appear in Physical Test, Motor Vehicle Driving Test but No Marks will be provided for Physical Test. There will be No Exemption from Minimum Standards for PST/ PET.

Physical Standard Test Norms

HEIGHT :

• Males of General/ OBC/ Extremely Backward Caste :  Minimum 165 cm
• Gorkha of Indian Origin : Minimum 160 cm
• Males of SC/ ST : Minimum 153 cm

CHEST :  Chest for Male candidate is as follows:-

Category	Male
General/ OBC/ EBC	81 cm (Minimum 5 cm expansion is required)
SC/ ST Candidates	79 cm (Minimum 5 cm expansion is required)
Gorkha Candidates in Bihar Police Gorkha Battalion	79 cm (Minimum 5 cm expansion is required)

Physical Efficiency Test

(1) RACE : Candidates have to complete 01 km Race in given time :

• Male : 06 Minutes (Candidates who complete Race more than 06 Min will be disqualified)
• Female : 08 Minutes (Candidates who complete Race more than 06 Min will be disqualified)

(2) HIGH JUMP :

• Male : Minimum 3 Feet 06 inch
• Female : Minimum 2 Feet 06 inch

(3) LONG JUMP :

• Male : Minimum 10 Feet
• Female : Minimum 7 Feet

(4) SHOT PUT (Gola Phenk) :

• Male : Candidates have to throw Shot Put of 16 Pounds up to 14 Feet.
• Female : Candidates have to throw Shot Put of 16 Pounds up to 14 Feet.

MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVING TEST

Candidates who declare Qualify in Physical Efficiency Test will be called up for Driving Test. Testing Track will be provided to candidates. Based on their Qualification, Marks will be provided as :-

(A) Candidates Ability to Drive JEEP : 10 Marks. Marks will be provided as :

(B) Candidates Ability to Drive CAR : 10 Marks. Marks will be provided as :

(C) Candidates Ability to Drive BUS/ TRUCK : 10 Marks. This Test will be taken on Open Field. Marks will be provided as :

For Changing All Gears & Drive Vehicle without any Noise in Gear	04
For Drawing Figure or 8 by Moving Forward the Vehicle	02
For Drawing Figure or 8 by Moving Backward the Vehicle	04

(D) Candidates will be asked 20 Questions from 100 Questions prepared by Driving Test oral Test & Sign related Committee. Maximum 10 Marks will be provided.

(E) For General Knowledge of Parts of Cars, Maintenance & Lubricating and Knowledge of Mechanical, Technical Fault of Vehicle : 10 Marks will be provided.

NOTE : Total Selection Process will be of 50 Marks. Contract Based Driver in Police will be provided 02 Marks (for each year experience), which is not greater that 05 Marks.
