About RRB’s : Railway Recruitment Control Board {रेलवे भर्ती नियंत्रण बोर्ड} is a government organization in India. It was set up in 1998 in the Ministry of Railways New Delhi. Railway Recruitment Board is an organization of Government of India. which works for the appointment of new employees to work in Indian railways. Railway Recruitment boards have several boards working.  it appoint new employees and they are situated in different parts of India.

About RRB Gorakhpur:-  The Railway Service Commission, Gorakhpur was established on 14 July, 1984. Initially this RRB along with  RRB-Muzaffarpur was catering requirement of North Eastern Railway. In January, 1985 Railway Service Commissions were rename as Railway Recruitment Board’s (RRB’s). In the year   1998 all RRBs came under the control of the Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB). With reorganization of Zonal Railways, in year 2002 RRB -Muzaffarpur became part of East Central Railway. So, RRB-Gorakhpur only is catering to the requirement of North Eastern Railways. The RRB is run by Chairman, assist frrom  Assistant Secretary, with a small team of Group ‘C’ & Group ‘D’ staff to run the RRB Office.
