PSTCL Exam Syllabus 2016

Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) will conduct an Online Exam for Junior Engineer (Electrical, IT, Communication, Civil), Divisional Accountant, Sub Station Officer, Telephone Mechanic and Office Assistant/UDC (Accounts).

Exam Pattern :- Scheme of PSTCL exam will be as follows :

► An online objective type written test will be conducted.
► Test will contain 100 questions of 01 mark each.
► Duration of test will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► Negative marking for a wrong answer @ 0.25 (1/4th) of the mark allotted for a correct answer.
► The medium of exam will be English for all posts except Telephone Mechanic (English & Punjabi).

Exam Syllabus :- Syllabus of PSTCL online test will be as follows :

Reasoning :- Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning.

English Language :- Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.

General Awareness :- Questions may be asked from Indian Current Events, Banking, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture.

Related Subject :- This part of test will contain syllabus based on following subjects :

• JE/Electrical – Electrical of Diploma level.
• JE/IT – Computer Science/IT of Diploma level.
• JE/Comm – Electronics/Telecom of Diploma level.
• JE/Civil – Civil of Diploma level.
• Divisional Accountant – Accounts & Audit of B.com level.
• Sub Station Officer – Electrical of Diploma level.
• Telephone Mechanic – Radio Telecom/ Wireless Technology of 10th/ITI level.
• Office Assistant/UDC (Accounts) – Accounts & Audit of B.com level.
