New India Assurance Exam Syllabus 2016
The New India Assurance Company Limited wholly owned by the Government of India will conduct an open market Written exam for recruitment of Officers in Scale I cadre. The standard of Competition level is raising with the time period as we are going onwards and time passing away rapidly. So candidate should knows that what should they have to prepare for their performance in examination. Candidates who are going to face this exam and are ignoramus about the scheme and syllabus. Now, here we are providing recommended latest exam pattern and syllabus.
Exam Pattern :- New India Assurance will be conducted Administrative Officer Exam In three phase as follows :-
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Exam (Objective Paper & Descriptive paper)
- Interview
Phase –_i : Preliminary Examination – This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows:

- Written Exam will be Multiple Choice Objective Type of 100 Marks.
- The Duration of Test is 01:00 Hour (60Minutes).
- There will be negative marks for wrong answer, 1/4th of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Phase – ii :- Mains Exam :- Mains Exam is divided in two parts 1st part is objective test and 2nd part is descriptive test as follows :-
(a). Objective Test :- The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections as folllows.

- Written Exam will be Multiple choice Question of 200 Marks.
- The Time Duration of the test is 2 Hours (120 Min.).
- There will be negative marks for wrong answer, 1/4th of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
(b). Descriptive Exam :- There will be a online descriptive exam of English Language.The Time Duration Of This exam is 30 Min. of 30 Marks as follows:-

Note :- Both Exams will be online mode. Candidate will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. After Completion the objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered immediately. The descriptive test will be in English and will be conducted through on-line mode.
Phase – iii :- Interview :- Candidates who have been qualified at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company. Interview will be conducted at select centers. The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Officers Scale I Cadre written Exam is given below :-
(a).Reasoning : Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning.
(b).English language : Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks with articles etc., comprehension, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar, Proficiency in the language.
(c).General Awareness : Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around it and its application to its society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of every day observation and experience as may be expected of any educated persons. The test will also include the questions relating to India and its neighboring countries pertaining to history, culture. geography, economics, general polity, scientific research etc.
(d).Quantitative Aptitude : Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.
