UPSC CDS 1 Recruitment 2017

A Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS-I) February 2017 will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 05th February, 2017 for admission to the under mentioned courses :-
Name of the Course and Approximate No. of Vacancies.
1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun – 150 Posts
144th (DE) Course commencing in January, 2018 [Including 19 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders].
2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala – 45 Posts
Course commencing in January, 2018 Executive(General Service) [including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing)].
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad – 32 Posts
(Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in February, 2018 i.e. No. 203 F(P) Course.
4. Officers Training Academy, Chennai – 225 Posts
07th SSC (Men) (NT) Course commencing in April, 2018 (including 50 vacancies for NCC ‘C’ certificate holders to NCC Spl. Entry)
5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai – 11 Posts
21st SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in April, 2018.
Educational Qualifications :
(i) For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy– Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering.
(iii) For Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Fee: Candidates (excepting Female/SC/Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
Candidates should note that payment of examination fee can be made only through the modes prescribed above. Payment of fee through any other mode is neither valid nor acceptable. Applications submitted without the prescribed fee/mode(unless remission of fee is claimed) shall be summarily rejected.
How To Apply : Candidates are required to apply On-line using the link www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up Online Applications are available on the above mentioned website The Online Applications can be filled from 09 November, 2016 up to 02nd December, 2016 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled. The applicants are advised to submit only single application; however if due to any unavoidable situation, if he/she submits another/multiple applications, then he/she must ensure that application with the higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in all respects like applicants’ details, examination centre, photograph,signature, fee etc. The applicants who are submitting multiple applications should note that only the applications with higher RID (Registration ID) shall be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one RID shall not be adjusted against any other RID.
