IOF ITI Apprentice Syllabus 2017

Indian Ordnance Factory has invited Applications for 55th Batch (for Non-ITI & ITI candidates) of Trade Apprentices under the ‘Apprentices Act 1961’ in Ordnance & Ordnance Equipment Factories located in different States across India. This Recruitment Exercise has been initiated for Recruitment to the 7038 ITI Apprentice Posts, out of which There were 3736 ITI and 3302 Non-ITI Posts, the highest ever as part of OFB’s Skill India Mission.

After Notification announcement, Candidates must be wandering for Exam Syllabus & Exam Pattern for ITI Apprentice/ Trade Apprentice Posts. In this Article, we are giving you important information of Exam Pattern. Candidates can check Exam Scheme & Detailed Syllabus below….

Exam Pattern :- As Per Selection Process, Written Exam will be conducted First. Examination will be conducted on Multiple Choice Objective Type Test on OMR Sheet. Exam Scheme for ITI Apprentice & Non ITI Apprentice will be as follows :-

Non ITI Candidates : Only One Paper will be conducted for Non ITI Candidates. Pattern will be as follows :-

• In Written Exam, There will be 150 Questions.
• Total Time Duration will be 03 Hours.
• Level of Question Papers will be of Class Xth Standard or Equivalent.
• Questions will ask from English, General Knowledge, Mathematics & Aptitude/ Reasoning

ITI Candidates : Only One Paper consisting of 2 Parts will be conducted for ITI Candidates. Pattern will be as follows :-

PART A (English, General Knowledge, Mathematics & Aptitude/ Reasoning)	40% of Total Questions (60 Questions)
PART B (Trade Subjects)	60% of Total Questions (90 Questions)

• In Written Exam, There will be 150 Questions.
• Total Time Duration will be 03 Hours.

NOTE : There will be No Negative Marking in Written Exam.

ITI Apprentice Syllabus 2017

Aptitude/ Reasoning : It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate‘s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

English Language : Candidates’ understanding of the Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. his/her writing ability would be tested.

Numerical Aptitude : This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

General Awareness : Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate‘s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
