About Exam :- The Computer based test for recruitment of Principals and Teachers for Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas will be conducted by EdCIL (India) Ltd on 11/03/2017 in different cities. Candidates are advised to reach at the Exam venue just before One hour to fulfill all the formalities before appearing. The Exam will be Computer based. The Exam will be of Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions / Answers.

Admit Card :- OAVS has published the exam Admit Card at its Official Website. The candidates are advised to fill their user Id and password which will be given by the OAVS after Registration Online. Candidates are suggested to download their Admit card soon before appearing in the Exam. Without Admit card, the candidates will not be liable to appear in the Exam.

Exam Pattern :- It is very important to Understand the exam pattern to Overcome from the Exam Nervousness. If you want to acquire good marks in the exam, then follow the given exam pattern :-

For the posts of Principal :- For the posts of Principals, there will be following criteria of Written exam :-

• The maximum time duration to attempt all the questions will be 03 Hours.
• The Sum of the Questions will be 180.
• The Aggregate marks will be 180.
• Each question will be awarded with 1 marks for every right answer and 0.25 negative mark for every wrong answer.

The Question paper of Principal will have four parts which will be as follows :-

• Language Proficiency Test having 40 marks maximum.
• General Awareness & Computer Literacy having 40 marks maximum.
• Academic having 30 marks maximum
• Administration and Finance having 70 marks maximum.

For the Posts of Trained Graduate Teacher, PET, Art Teacher, Music Teacher and computer Teacher  :- For the posts of TGT, PET, Art Teacher, Music Teacher and computer Teacher , there will be following criteria of Written exam :-

• The maximum time duration to attempt all the questions will be 200 minutes.
• The Sum of the Questions will be 200.
• The Aggregate marks will be 200.
• Each question will be awarded with 1 marks for every right answer and 0.25 negative mark for every wrong answer.
• A performance Test will also be held for the Art Teacher, Music Teacher and Computer Teacher. This test will be of 20 marks.

The Question paper will have three parts which will be as follows :-

• Part-I will have two subjects English and Odia having 20 questions each.
• Part-ii will have two subjects Current Affairs and reasoning having 30 questions each.
• Part-iii will have 100 Questions of subject Content and Methodology.
