UPPSC Exam Syllabus 2014
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is going to conduct a Lecturer Screening Test-2013 for recruitment to posts of Lecturer of 27 Subjects (Economics, History, Ancient History, English, Home Science, Zoology, Philosophy, Geography, Physics, Psychology, Chemistry, Political Science, Botany, Commerce, B.Ed., Mathematics, Education, Social Science, Military Science, Music-Vocal, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Agriculture, Physical Education, Geology and Computer Science) in Government Colleges vide Advertisement No. 01/2013-14.

As we all know, as time is running out the level of competition is increasing rapidly. It is very hard to chase a competitive examination without proper knowledge of its pattern/scheme and syllabus. Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for UPPSC Lecturer Screening Test-2013 is as Follows :-
► Written Exam will be multiple choice objective type.
► The question paper will contain 150 marks.
► 120 questions will be from related subjects (100 in case of Maths) and 30 questions from General Studies.
► The time duration will be 02:00 Hours (120 Minutes).

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for UPPSC Lecturer Screening Test-2013 is given below :-
GENERAL STUDIES
► History of India-Ancient, Mediaeval, Modern
► Indian National Movement and Indian Culture
► Population, Environment and Urbanization in Indian Context
► World Geography, Geography of India and its natural resources.
► Current events of national and international importance.
► Indian Agriculture, Trade and Commerce.
► Specific knowledge of U.P. regarding education, culture Agriculture, Trade Commerce, The methods of living and Social
Customs.
Note : History of India and Indian culture will cover the broad history of the country from about the middle of the nineteenth century and would also include questions on Gandhi, Tagore and Nehru. The part on current events of national and international importance will include questions also on sports and games.
► Indian Polity
► Indian Economy
► General Science (Role of Science and technology in the development of India including science in every day life)
► General Mental ability.
► Statistical Analysis, Graphs and Diagrams.
Note : The part relating to the Indian polity will include questions on the political system in India and Indian constitution. The Indian economy will cover broad features of economic policy in India. The part relating to role and impact of science and technology in the development of India, questions will be asked to test the candidates awareness in this field Emphasis will be on the applied aspects. The part relating to statistical analysis, graphs and diagrams will include exercise to test the candidates ability to draw common sense conclusions from information presented in statistical graphical or diagrammatical form and to point out deficiencies limitation or inconsistencies there in.
