Union Public Service Commission is fully responsible for conducting the Indian Forest Serviceexam All Over India. UPSC organizes Indian Forest Service exam in two phases. Phase-I of Indian Forest Service exam is Preliminary exam & Phase-II of the UPSC Indian Forest Serviceis Mains Exam. Exam Pattern:-
There are total 6 Papers in IFS Mains Written Exam.

- Candidates who qualify the Mains Written Exam will have to face Personality Test i.e. Interview. Interview will be of 300 marks.
Candidates have to Select any Two Subjects as Optional Subject from the following Subjects:-

Exam Syllabus:-
General English:- Candidates will be required to write an essay in English. Other questions will be designed to test their understanding of English and workmanlike use of words. Passages will usually be set for summary or précis.
General Knowledge:- General Knowledge including knowledge of current events, Indian Polity including the political system and the Constitution of India, History of India and Geography.
