WBSSC Exam Syllabus 2015

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) had invited application for recruitment to Deputy Ranger/ Forester – DRF 15. Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. So Candidates must be know that “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” for the best in their Exams. Now, here we are providing the determined latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Deputy Ranger/Forester Exam conducting by WBSSC.

S E L E C T I O N   P R O C E S S :

1. Written Examination
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Personality Test

Written Exam

Exam Pattern :- WBSSC Forest Ranger Exam Pattern will be :

► The Examination shall consist of two parts viz. Part-I (objective) and Part-II (subjective).
► Part–I will consist of Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions. There will be 120 questions, carrying 1 mark each. There will be negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
► Part–II will consist of a single descriptive type question of 30 marks (writing of a Précis from a given English passage).
► Duration of the written examination will be 01:30 hours (90 minutes).

Exam Syllabus :- WBSSC Forester Syllabus shall be as given below :

PART-I

General Knowledge : 40 Marks

Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Important National or International events/ issues, Know your State, Current Affairs, Art & Culture, Civics, Sports, Abbreviations, Computer, etc.

English : 40 Marks

Comprehension, Grammar, Sentence Corrections, Synonyms & Antonyms, Spelling, Idioms/ Phrases, etc.

Mathematics & Test of Reasoning : 40 Marks

Average, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Simple interest, Profit & Loss, Time & Distance/ Time & Work, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Mensuration, Test of Reasoning, etc.

PART-II

English Précis Writing : 30 Marks

Candidates have to write précis from a given passage in English.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

A Shortlisted Candidate shall be required to undergo a Walking Test as follows :

Category	Distance	Time
Men	25 KMs	4 Hours
Women	15 KMs	4 Hours

Note: There is no mark in the walking Test but the candidate should be qualified in the walking Test.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

The following minimum standards of physical fitness and requirement shall have to be satisfied.

Category	Height	Chest
Male Candidates of all categories (except Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and Scheduled Tribes)	163 cms	84-89 cms with expansion of 5 cms
Female Candidates of all categories (except Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and Scheduled Tribes)	150 cms	79-84 cms with expansion of 5 cms
Male Candidates of Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and Scheduled Tribes	152.5 cms	79-84 cms with expansion of 5 cms
Female Candidates of Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and Scheduled Tribes	145 cms	74-79 cms with expansion of 5 cms

Candidates qualified in the Physical Measurement Test shall only be allowed to appear in the Personality Test.
