About APSCHE: Andra Pradesh State Council Of Higher Education also known as the Directorate of Government Examinations. It was established in 1953 and functions as an autonomous body under the Andhra Pradesh Department of Education.

About Ed.CET: Ed. Common Entrance Test (CET) Is an entrance exam conducted by Andra Pradesh State Council Of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission in B.Ed Courses.

Eligibility:

1. The candidates should be of Indian Nationality and should satisfy the Local/Non – Local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended for admission into Category A seats in Un – Aided Colleges of Education and for all seats University Colleges.

2. The candidates should have obtained a Degree from any university in Andhra Pradesh or a recognized university outside Andhra Pradesh for entry in to B.Ed. courses into University / Government / Private colleges.

3. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination B.A./B.Sc./B.Com/B.Sc (Home Science)/ BCA/BBM with an aggregate of 45% marks and above are alone eligible for admission into B.Ed. course. However, in case of SC/ST candidates a mere pass is sufficient.

4. Candidates possessing B.E./B.Tech./M.B.B.S./Ag.B.Sc/BVSC/BHMT/B.Pharmacy and such other professional and job oriented Degree courses like LLB are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course. Candidates possessing a Master Degree without having undertaken undergraduate study are not eligible for admission.

Written Exam Date: Written exam will be conducted on 23/05/2016 (Monday) 11:00 to 1:00.

Application Fee : The tuition fee for Government/University/Aided Private colleges varies from Rs 2700/- to Rs 13500/- and a special fee of Rs 3000/- . Fee shall be paid by the candidate at the college along with the allotment letter. The processing fee for SC/ST candidates is Rs 200/- and Rs 400/- for others (non – refundable).

Method Of Admission:

1. The admissions shall be made in the order of merit on the basis of the rank assigned in the EdCET/ EdCET – AC and to the extent of sanctioned seats.

2. The percentage of candidates to be admitted in each methodology (subject) in the University/ Government/Private institutions shall not exceed the limit prescribed by the Universities/Government from time to time. The percentage of admissions into the four methodologies shall be as follow:

Mathematics Methodology	30 %
Physical Sciences Methodology	15 %
Biological Sciences Methodology	25 %
Social Studies Methodology	30 %
