UPSC CMS Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2016
Union Public Service Commission is fully responsible for conducting the Combine Medical Services Exam All Over India. UPSC will hold the Combined Medical Service Examination on 12 June, 2016. Information about UPSC CMS 2016 Exam Pattern & Syllabus is provided here:-
Exam Pattern:- Candidates will take the written exam in  two papers. Each paper carrying a maximum of  250 marks. Each Paper will be off 2 Hours.
Paper- I:-  Maximum marks 250 with 120 Questions &  Total Time duration 2 Hour.

There will be negative marking. one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
Candidates who qualifies the written exam will be called for Interview for Personality Test.Interview will be of 100 Marks.
Exam Syllabus:-
General Ability:- Question will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current Events, Geography, Economy, Indian Agriculture, Food Adulteration, Food processing, recent Trends in Science & Technology.
General Medicine:- General Medicine including Cardiology, Neurology, Dermatology & Psychiatry.
Surgery:- Surgery including ENT, Ophthalmology, Traumatology & Orthopedics.
Gynecology & Obstetrics:-  Ante Natal, Intra Natal, Post natal Conditions. Questions from Anatomy, Physiology of menstruation & fertilization, neoplasm in genital tract.
Preventive & Social Medicine:- Social & Community Medicine, Health Administration & Planning, Environmental Health, Nutrition & Health, Medical Sociology & Health Education.
