About UKPSC:- The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 09th November, 2000 under the Reorganization of Uttar Pradesh Act 2000. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was Constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Uttarakhand vide Notification No. 247/1 Karmik 2001 dated 14th March, 2001. At present the strength of the Commission is the Chairman & the Six Members. It shall be the duty of the Union and the State Public Service Commissions to conduct examinations for appointments to the Services of the Union and the State respectively. UKPSC shall also be the duty of the Union Public Service Commission, if requested by any two or more States so to do, to assist those States in framing and operating schemes of joint recruitment for any services for which candidates possessing special qualifications are required.
