The Indian Coast Guard is a multi-mission organization, conducting round-the-year real-life operations at sea. Despite being relatively small, it has a wide range of task capabilities for both surface and air operations.

The organization is headed by the Director General Indian Coast Guard (DGICG) exercising his overall command and superintendence from the Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ) located at New Delhi. At CGHQ, he is assisted by four Deputy Director Generals of the rank of Inspector General, and other senior officers heading various staff divisions.

The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all the tests depending upon the available vacancies. The Zone wise select list of candidates will be displayed in the Indian Coast Guard Website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in in the month of Mar 2017.

NOTE :

1. Call letters to provisionally selected candidates for Navik (DB) – 01/ 2017 batch will be issued Later. The enrollment will be subject to clearing the final medical examination to be conducted on arrival at INS.

2. The candidates are required to intimate their willingness/unwillingness by speed post to their Zonal Recruitment Centres.
