The Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, offers a challenging and inspiring career in various branches as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer in the rank of Assistant Commandant Special Recruitment Drive only for OBC/SC/ST 02/2016 Batch at pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs 5400.

Detail of Vacancies :  Branch and Eligibility. Unmarried Indian citizens having following minimum qualifications are eligible to apply:

(a)	General Duty	Should hold a Bachelor’s degree of recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (ie. 1st Semester to 8th Semester for BE/B.Tech or 1st year to last year for Bachelor Degree Candidates wherever applicable). Mathematics and Physics as subject up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education with 60% aggregate marks in Maths & Physics [Candidates not in possession of Physics & Maths in 10 + 2 (Intermediate) level are not eligible for General Duty (GD) & General Duty (Pilot/Navigator)].	Male	01.07.1988 to 30.06.1995 for OBC & 01.07.1986  to 30.06.1995 for SC/ST(Both dates inclusive).
(B)	General Duty Pilot	same as above	Male	01.07.1988 to 30.06.1997 for OBC & 01.07.1986 to 30.06.1997 for SC/ST(Both dates inclusive).
(C)	Pilots (CPL)	12th class pass with 60% marks in aggregate and should possess current / valid commercial Pilot License (CPL) approved by DGCA on the date of Preliminary Selection.	Male and Female	01.07.1988 to 30.06.1997 for OBC & 01.07.1986 to 30.06.1997 for SC/ST(Both dates inclusive).

Pay Scale :  Pay Band-3 (Rs. 15600-39100) with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-. The further promotions to the ranks will be as per the laid down promotion criteria. The pay scales for the various ranks are as follows:-

How to Apply : Applications will be accepted only ‘Online’ from 11 March to 22 March 2016 for the above branches. The important instructions for filling up of online applicationsare as follows:-

(i) The name of the candidate, father/mother’s name and date of birth should be same as mentioned in the 10th class passing certificate.

(ii) Indicate exact percentage of 12th and Graduation marks up to two decimals and this is not to be rounded off.

(iii) Candidates to choose any one venue out of the options displayed.

(iv) Filling up of information like personal email ID and Mobile number of the candidate is compulsory. The date, time and venue of the test and other information will be informed through personal email ID.
