Age Requirement : There is no minimum age bar for admission to undergraduate courses in the University and its colleges except in professional courses where regulatory body prescribes minimum age requirement (such as MCI, AICTE etc.) (Ordinance I).
Gap year(s) would be no bar for purposes of admission to the undergraduate Courses.
Qualifying Examinations : Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate courses offered by the University shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto. Candidate seeking admission to the courses offered by the University should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses in subsequent sections.
There will be five cutoff lists in the General category and the first cutoff list will be Released on after a week of last date of Application Submission (Last week of June, 2016). The College option will be re-introduced in the centralized admission forms and there will be no cap on the colleges a candidate can choose.
According to the Delhi University Source there will be No Entrance Test for Non Professional courses like- English. The university will released full details of admission process on official website.
MERIT LIST : The merit list for the general category seats will comprise of all the candidates in the order of merit .No one will be excluded from the same. In other words, it will also include SC / ST / OBC candidates If they come in general merit. The candidate cannot be excluded from the general category merit list just because he belongs to SC/ST/OBC. Such a candidate is entitled to be considered under the general category, as well as under the reserved category. Admission to open category seats will be strictly in the .order of merit without excluding SC/ST/OBC.
