West Bengal Police Department is going to recruit Junior Constables in WB Police (for Birbhum District). As the time passing away the standard of competitive examination is raising with the time period rapidly. So, candidates also must have to pay more attention towards their preparation to give the best in their examination. Now, we are rendering the determined latest scheme of examination and syllabus for your best preparation regards this screening test of Jr. Constable conducting by West Bengal Police.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Those who qualify in PMT will be eligible for PET. Maximum marks in PET is 15.

a) For Male Candidates :- 800 meter Run in maximum 3 minutes. All  those who complete the run within 3 minutes will qualify for the written test for the post of Junior Constables. Further, those who cover 800 meters in 2 minutes and 30 seconds will be credited with 15 marks; while those covering the same within 3 minutes will be credited with 10 marks.

b) For Female Candidates :- 400 meters run in maximum 2 minutes. All  those who complete the run within 2 minutes will qualify for the written test for the post of Junior Constables. Further, those who cover 400 meters in 1 minute and 45 seconds will be credited with 15 marks; while those covering the same within 2 minutes will be credited with 10 marks.

Written Examination

Exam Pattern :- WB Police Junior Constable Exam Pattern is as follows :-

► The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
► There will be a composite paper of 25 marks.
► There will be two parts i.e. General Knowledge of 15 marks and Simple Mathematics of10 marks.
► There will be negative marking in Written Examination.

Exam Syllabus :- West Bengal Police Jr. Constable Syllabus is given below :-

General Knowledge :- History, Geography and Socio Economic development of West Bengal & India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.

Simple Mathematics :- The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.

Interview

Only the candidates successful in written examination, will be eligible for interview. In the interview, the general awareness of the candidate will be tested. Total marks in interview is 10. A merit list of the provisionally selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the PET, Written Examination and Interview.
