MHA IB Personal Assistant Exam Syllabus 2016
Ministry of Home Affairs will conduct a written Exam for Intelligence Bureau (IB) Personal Assistant. Candidates who willing to take part in the written exam, must have Knowledge of Prescribed Syllabus for the exam decided by MHA. As we all know about, how popular is Intelligence Bureau Exam. Standard of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) PA exam is relatively high as compared to other Exam. For Solving this problem of candidates we’re providing here Syllabus for IB Personal Assistant Written Test.
Exam Pattern :- Intelligence Bureau Personal Assistant Exam is test of Objective & Subjective Questions. So mere objective type study will not working, you have to also focus on Subjective Part. Pattern will be as follows :

► Total Time Duration for Written exam is 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
Exam Syllabus :- Syllabus for the Written Exam will be as follows:-
Paper – I
General Studies/Awareness : Question will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current Events, Geography, Economy etc. Focus will be on Current national & International events, banking, sports etc.
Note – Candidates are advised to focus on World History & World geography, as questions from this part frequently came in the Objective Test.
Numerical Ability : Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Candidates need to be focus on Basics of Mathematics & Simplification.
Reasoning : Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure, Non Verbal Reasoning.
Paper – II
Descriptive Exam :a) Essay in English/ Hindi of not more than 300 words on a topic out of 4 choices: 25 marks
b) English/ Hindi comprehension: 15 marks
c) Test of English/ Hindi language, antonyms, synonyms, one word substitution, etc: 30 marks
Note : Candidates are advised to be in touch with Current Topics of 2 3 month prior to exam. Candidates must have proper Knowledge of facts & events so that in essay they show their skill & ability. Try to study in depth of Important Current Topics as they can come in Essay Part.
Stenography Skill Test (50 marks) :- English or Hindi Shorthand @ 100 words per minute (i) Dictation: 10 minutes @ 100 words per minute (ii) Skill test on computer– transcription of shorthand, 40 minutes (English) and 55 minutes (Hindi). 10 minutes for shorthand & 40 minutes for transcription in English and 55 minutes for Hindi respectively, on computer only.
